Frequently Asked Questions

We get a lot of questions about dental procedures and examinations. We try to answer a few of them here. If you don’t see the answer you are looking for, please don’t hesitate to give us a call to ask.

Are Dental X-rays Safe?

Yes, dental x-rays are very safe. Our office utilizes digital x-rays which use only a small fraction of radiation compared to dental film x-rays.

Is Tooth Bleaching Safe?

Tooth whitening is generally safe if you follow the specific directions of the manufacturer and do not overuse the product. It is highly recommended that patients first consult their dentist who will determine the most appropriate treatment plan for an optimal outcome in their specific case. The best results are always going to be a result of a professional treatment.

How Often Should I Visit The Dentist?

It is recommended that you visit the dentist twice per year or every six months. There are exceptions to this rule however. If you have gum disease or a history of gum disease, the dentist may recommend more frequent visits in order to treat further disease progression.
